Over the years, many people have found the island to be a true haven of peace and Ibiza has been home to several movements, including the famous hippies who helped spread their peaceful lifestyle and art on the island.
Thanks to this rich cultural heritage, Ibiza today has a great diversity of art forms but still counts many artists among its population. A real opportunity for you, during your stay, to rediscover art from a different point of view and linking it to the history of Ibiza. For this reason, many art galleries and museums have been opened in recent years and make art accessible to all, young and old. Among these many cultural events, we find the Ruta del Arte, unique of its kind.
The Ruta del Arte was created thanks to the impulse of the artists' association Art Club Ibiza, whose mission is to encourage the exchange between the resident or tourist public on the island and the artists. Recently, the association has published a magazine available in newsstands in Ibiza and available in a digital version that allows to present the art creators and give their contact details to readers wishing to meet them.
The Ruta del Arte is also an unmissable event that is held every year in June at the Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza and gives rise to a large exhibition. At the same time, as part of this program, you will also find the Noches del Arte on some summer evenings in the villages of Ibiza. Finally, if you are more of a music and urban art lover, the Luna Llena de Arte art fair is held 4 times in the village of Santa Gertrudis from 7 pm to midnight between June and October. This event will offer you not only concerts but also dance performances. An original way to immerse yourself in the art of the island!
